We would like to announce that the HAICTA 2024 Short Paper Proceedings, Volume I, that includes a selection of 29 short papers presented at HAICTA 2024 has been published by CEUR and is now available online and citable. You can learn more here.

A second volume, that will include the rest 38 short papers presented at HAICTA 2024 will be published by MDPI at a later date. Authors whose papers will be included to the second volume should expect further communication by the organizers at the following days.

Only short papers were eligible for publication to the HAICTA 2024 Proceedings. The abstracts of all presented papers (106) at HAICTA 2024 are already available in the Book of Abstracts, which is available here.

​The 11th International Conference on Information & Communication Technologies in Agriculture, Food and Environment (HAICTA 2024), organized by the Hellenic Association for ICT in Agriculture, Food & Environment (HAICTA) in association with the University of the Aegean in Karlovasi, Samos, Greece, during October 17 to 20, 2024, was completed with great success at the Samian Mare Hotel, Suites & Spa.

This was the 3rd Conference of the series where the participants had the opportunity to present their work both in person and online via teleconferencing, as well as through e-posters. In total, 106 scientific papers from 21 countries were presented.

All three days of the Conference were broadcasted live through the official YouTube channel of HAICTA. Over 76 people attended the Conference in person, while the three broadcasts on YouTube gained over 530 views in total.

We warmly thank all the participants, as well as the keynote speaker, Dr. Samir Mili, Senior Researcher and Director of the Department of Applied Economics and Geography at the National Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid, Spain, for the high level of his presentation.

Each presentation will last 10 minutes approx. and there will be no more than 2 minutes for questions. Times and duration are strict due to the fact that all presentations will be live-streamed through our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@haicta

A. In-person presentation
If you will be presenting orally in-person, make sure to have the presentation file (PowerPoint or PDF) ready on a USB stick, that you will have to give it to the technical support team on site, BEFORE the session that you are presenting starts.

B. Teleconference presentation
If you will be presenting via teleconference, you will receive further instructions on how to connect at a later date and before your presentation. Make sure to also keep an eye on your Spam folder. The email will be sent from the address "contact [at] haicta.gr"

C. e-Posters
If you will presenting via e-Poster, all posters will be viewable through a video that will be playing on a 55" TV at the lobby of the venue. Additionally, all e-Posters will be accessible on our website at: https://2024.haicta.gr/e-posters.html

Make sure to send your poster by October 10 if you haven't done already, by following the instructions received previously via email.

D. Session Chairs

The UWC Samos is one of the oldest cooperatives in Greece and it is included in one of the biggest wineries nationally!  Samos wine is one of the basic Greek wine ambassadors abroad, with exports all over the world.  Nowadays, 2.200 producers participate in the Cooperative as members.

We would like to announce that we have given a final deadline extension for paper submission for HAICTA 2024. The new and final deadline is on July 15, 2024, 23:55 GMT/UTC. 

We would also like to inform you that the reviewing process for the already submitted papers will begin this week and authors should expect normally the Notification of Acceptance by July 22, 2024. Authors who will be submitting their papers by July 15, 2024, should expect their Notifications of Acceptance at a later date than the original.

Last, but not least, the online registration system is now open and accepts registrations for all types of participants. Please note that in the case of author registration you must first receive the Notification of Acceptance before you can proceed with registering for HAICTA 2024.
